GTA 6 Reportedly Set for PC Q1 2027

Rockstar Games reportedly plans to bring Grand Theft Auto 6 to PC in the first quarter of 2027, according to a new report. If accurate, that would put the PC version just a few months after the game’s console launch — well ahead of the gap fans saw with GTA 5.

Grand Theft Auto 6 launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S on November 19, 2026. According to a report from GamesBeat, which cited four anonymous sources, the PC version is slated for the first quarter of 2027. IGN reports that Rockstar and its parent company Take-Two have not commented on the claim.

That timeline would be unusually short by Rockstar’s standards. GTA 5 took nearly two years to reach PC after it arrived on consoles, and IGN notes the same pattern applied to Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire, Max Payne 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

There is no official page or confirmed store listing for a PC version yet. Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick has repeatedly pointed to Rockstar for announcements. In May he told Bloomberg that Rockstar “always starts on console”, and 12 months ago he told CNBC the industry was “moving towards PC”. Until Rockstar or Take-Two confirm it, treat the Q1 2027 PC date as unconfirmed.
